Bid to launch Norfolk Christian Police group
2009: Officers within Norfolk Police are looking to re-form a branch of the Christian Police Association to support staff within the Force and to forge links with the Christian community within Norfolk.
Norfolk Police Sergeant Rachel Thrussell is writing to all churches and Christian groups in the county to encourage links with the CPA, with Christian Police Officers and staff, and to ask for your prayers for the Police Service. (I Timothy 2:1-2)
Rachel said: “The Police Service plays a vital role in protecting the public from crime and disorder in our communities and we also believe that the Church has a vital role in bringing a message of hope to our communities. We would also like you to be aware of Pray4YourPolice, established by the CPA showing how churches can actively become involved in supporting, getting to know and praying for their local police.
“If your church would like to become involved in this or supporting CPA in Norfolk, please contact me and I can help you to get in touch with your local officers.”
