Norfolk Christian Police celebrate re-launch

2010: The Norfolk branch of the Christian Police Association (CPA) has celebrated its first anniversary of its re-launch at St Paul’s, Hellesdon, Norwich on November 21.

The branch now has three established prayer groups in Wymondham, Norwich and King’s Lynn after being dormant for 20 years. Plans are afoot to have prayer groups in other parts of the county.

CPAWorshipBranch organiser, Sgt Rachel Thrussell, said: “We are very gratefulfor the support of Network Norwich and Norfolk for its original reporting, given that it enabled prayer support from churches all around the county which led to our re-launch in November 2009. We still continue to have contacts with a number of churches and some have become involved in practical ways with their local Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT).

“Links are being made to try to help Suffolk get off the ground again after a number of years dormant and we have gained in membership over the past year and have a number of new memberships pending.”

Have a look at www.coact.org.uk  to see ways in which you and your fellowships can get involved with your local police.
