Synagogue extension
Norwich synagogue launches appeal for outreach

ADAT Yeshua Messianic Synagogue in Norwich has launched a £150,000 extension appeal, to grow its social outreach and training.

In recent times the work of the synagogue has expanded into various activities, broadly under the theme of outreach. During the pandemic its Foodbank has been feeding around 100 people a week.

The synagogue now plans to extend the work of the Foodbank in the space which the extension will create and develop dedicated counselling services. The new space will also serve the children of the area with breakfast and after-school clubs, creating a safe space for children to study and be supervised. It will be aimed especially at those who lack these facilities at home. The synagogue community will run extended crèche and teaching facilities for its own children and parents.

Finally, the space will hold a teaching area with live-streaming equipment where the training of Rabbinic Interns (a global reach) and synagogue teaching can take place.
