Gorleston church moves services outside
Cliff Park Community Church in Gorleston is planning a series of outside services over the summer, including two at Gorleston bandstand.
The church, which is based on the Cliff Park estate in Gorleston, plans to hold five outdoor services in total. Services will be held on
August 6 and
August 13 at the
bandstand on Gorleston seafront as an act of witness and outreach to the local community. In addition three will be held in the grounds of
Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy, where
Cliff Park Community Church usually meet on a Sunday. These will be on
July 30, August 20 and August 27.
The
Revd Derek McClean, who was licensed as the minister for Cliff Park Community Church in April, commented : "As the new Minister of CPCC, these opportunities excite me. A real opportunity to be outside worshipping God as a community, and inviting all to join with us to hear the message of Jesus and the Good News of His death for us. Join us if you can."
All services start at
10.30 am and those attending are asked to bring their own chairs and come prepared with sunscreen and hats in case the weather is hot. Services will be moved inside if the weather is bad.
