New General Manager for Norfolk's Eckling Grange

The trustees of Eckling Grange, the Christian Residential Care Complex in Dereham, have announced the appointment of Steve Edmunds as their new General Manager in succession to Stewart Barber who will be retiring in September after over 16 years of dedicated service.

Graham Pickhaver, Chair of trustees, said: “We are delighted to welcome Steve to our leadership team. The whole community at Eckling Grange has been involved in the appointment from dedicated prayer days to staff being part of the interview process.”

Steve lives with his wife in Norwich and has lived in Norfolk for his entire life.  

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful cause, and I have a real passion to offer my expertise and dedication to furthering the aims of Eckling Grange. During my recent visits, I was moved by the Christian family spirit at the heart of this residential home and bungalow complex,” said Steve.  

“I have a strong Christian faith which originally drew me to apply for this position. This is an opportunity not just to manage, but to inspire residents and staff alike to continue to embrace the Christian ethos that the home has always promoted.

“As I embark on this journey as General Manager my aim is to utilize my previous management experience to support our fantastic care managers and wider team. Together, we will ensure that Eckling Grange’s facilities continue to run to the highest standards for our residents.” 

Graham Pickhaver said: “Last summer Eckling Grange celebrated its Diamond anniversary, 60 years of providing accommodation and care for so many. It is a testimony to the kindness and grace of God and with Steve joining us we continue to pray that the Lord will bless this so important ministry for many more to come.”
