Norfolk Christian youth charity runs summer trips

This summer ENYP are are launching 'Hit the Road', a range of different trips and activities for children and young people, many of whom have never visited anywhere outside their local area.

The new project has been made possible thanks to ENYP’s partnerships with attractions and organisations across the county. Many of the children and young people the charity works with have never accessed recreational opportunities outside of their own community area. The ENYP team know that these provide valuable experiences and opportunities for them as they grow up.

Revd Danny Doran-Smith, ENYP Director, said “Our ‘Hit the Road’ project provides a great opportunity for young people to broaden their horizons, explore new places and benefit from new experiences.  We know that one new experience can make a young person’s summer and provides them with many memories for the future – what an amazing opportunity we have to see young people to try something new!”

The trips include visits to Thribgy Wildlife Gardens, Snettisham Park, travel on the North Norfolk Railway, undertaking outdoor activities at Whitlingham Broad, and a visit to Fairhaven Water Gardens on the Broads, to name a few.

The charity is taking young people on trips in groups of seven, and these are fully funded and aimed at those who have not experienced these opportunities before.  If you know a child/young person who may benefit and would like to refer them please contact ENYP as soon as possible as there are a limited number of places available.
